RYE IS TALKING TO A beaver whos nickname is cas. rye's mad at the beaver and they talk. the beaver put rye in a cage made out of maple tree. Mr. canad( the beaver) tells poppy about it. They find out that the beavers want to extend there damn to the boulders(mices home). they either have to sink or swim.while rye is held captive, the family figures out the astonishing newsand starts a plan to get rye back.
